Sharing Lauren’s story today. She is one of the girls in my team and I’m just so excited for her! She recently celebrated a year into her health and fitness journey and she shared her transformation 👏🏼
Her story: “Today marks one year of becoming a healthier, happier, stronger self!!
The girl in the photo on the left was struggling with self-esteem, anxiety, finding herself again after becoming a mother. My postpartum body had received zero attention for almost two years. My pelvic floor was WEAK (cue the tinkling whenever I would run, jump, laugh too hard, or just whenever, etc.) She was eating junk and the negative self talk was often.
365 days later, the girl on the right is stronger, mentally and physically. She looks in the mirror and sees strength and power. It was never only about looking fit but FEELING fit. It was about building my self esteem through moving my body again and feeling confident in what it can do. There were SO many times I wanted to throw in the towel, give up on myself. The more I became consistent in my workouts and my nutrition the easier it became to keep it up.
Now I can say it’s habit, now I can say that this is my new normal, and it feels SO good! Making myself a priority again is the one of the most invaluable things I could’ve done. For 30-60 minutes a day I’m putting my well-being FIRST! What a journey it has been! If I can do it so can you!!! You have to believe in yourself first, do it for yourself, and keep going!!!”
